BUSINESS PHOTO PREPARATION TIPS

Is There Anything I Can Do To Prepare For My Shoot?

Are you preparing for a corporate headshot? A little bit of preparation can go a long way in your getting your desired results.  Prepare for your photo shoot with these tips:

Be Well Rested

Plan to go to sleep early the night before your photo shoot. Try to get at least eight full hours of sleep night before your photo shoot. You don’t want bags under your eyes. Drink plenty of water so your skin will look healthy and be sure to set your alarm early so you have plenty of time to get ready for your shoot. Running late and rushing out the door will result in a less polished appearance.

Plan In Advance

Because you don’t know how long the shoot will take, you should plan to do nothing but your photo shoot that day. Cancel other appointments. Plan to pick up your dry cleaning well in advance if the outfit you are wearing is in need of a cleaning so that you aren’t rushing around at the last minute. Try your clothes on in advance too so you can be sure that nothing needs mending or no longer fits.

Do a Trial Run

A trial run with your planned hairstyle and outfit is a great idea. This may take some time as you try different outfits and different hairstyles. It’s worthwhile to be prepared so that you get the look that you want and feel comfortable with it. If you feel confident in your appearance, your confidence will shine through in your photo and that’s the most important aspect of a corporate headshot: confidence.

Prepare For A Long Day

Whether it’s a group of you in your office going together or you all on your own it’s wise to prepare for a long photo shoot by bringing something to drink, a book to read or work to do while waiting as well as items to help you freshen up. There are some great facial wipes that blot facial sweat and oil without removing your cosmetics and you might want to bring a stick of antiperspirant and in case you are in for a lengthy wait dressed in business attire.
